How Does Skinvive Work?

Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance found in our skin that excels at attracting and locking in moisture. As we age and expose our skin to damaging external factors, our natural HA levels diminish, leading to worsening skin texture, loss of hydration and complexion dullness. Skinvive leverages the moisture-attracting properties of HA to counteract these changes.

What Is the Skinvive Treatment Process?

Skinvive is currently FDA approved to improve skin smoothness in the cheeks for all Fitzpatrick skin types (I-VI). The product is injected as tiny microdroplets into the skin using an ultra-fine needle. Because the formula contains the pain reliever lidocaine, discomfort is minimal, although we at RSMD like to provide additional topical anesthetic for your comfort. There is no required downtime, though we recommend avoiding strenuous exercise, makeup, extensive sun or heat exposure, and alcoholic beverages for the first 24 hours post-injection.

What Results Can Be Achieved With Skinvive?

Following your treatment, Skinvive leaves your cheeks feeling plump and smooth, with a brighter and more vibrant complexion. It does not alter the volume or structure of your face like a traditional dermal filler, but instead amplifies your skin’s natural hydration processes to produce an even, luminous glow. The results are seen in as soon as seven days up to one month, and are clinically proven to last up to six months with optimal treatment.
